Western Qualifier – High Rock Lake Results
North Carolina hosted the Western Region NC BASS Nation state championship at High Rock Lakeon May 20 th and 21st with 100 anglers vying to represent the NC BASS Nation at the 2017 BASSRegional hosted by B.A.S.S. all hoping to continue on the road to qualify for a shot at the BASSMASTER CLASSIC!
Jerry Deese (Look Out Shoals) won the Boater Division with a total weight of 26.24 pounds. EricMoser (Archdale) was second with 25.31, Mark Swink (Bass Casters) qualified for his thirdconsecutive state team finishing third with 25.04 pounds, Christian Shoda (South Fork) finished fourthwith 24.46 and Jody Wright (Thermal Belt) finished 5th with 24.36 pounds. Top three boaters havequalified for the 2017 State Team.
Keith Thompson (South Fork) won the Non-Boater Division with a total weight of 19.63 pounds.Richard Young (Thermal Belt) was a close second with 19.06 pounds, Aaron Digh (Outdoor Rush)finished 3rd place with 16.27, Khris Williams was 4th with 14.16 pounds, and Rob Griswold was fifthwith 12.25. The Top three non-boaters have qualified for the 2017 State Team.The Outdoor Rush team claimed the team title with 90.30 pounds, Riverview was second with 76.24pounds.
