NC Bass Nation 2021 State Team all Set

North Carolina’s Bass Nation members competed in the NCBN Wild Card on Lake Norman on October 8th, 2020. Patrick King was crowned the Boater champion with 11.44 pounds. Mark Swink was second with 11.30 lbs, and Steve Dyer was third with 11.15 pounds. On the non-boater side, Cliff Jenkins was crowned non-boater champion with 11.78 lbs, Reggie Guffey was second with 8.70lbs, and Lane Bailey was third with 8.49.lbs These top three boaters and top three non-boaters have qualified to represent the NC BASS Nation at the 2021 BASS Regional hosted by B.A.S.S. with all hoping to continue on the road to qualify for a shot at the BASS MASTER CLASSIC!

North Carolina’s Bass Nation members competed in the NCBN Western Regional on High Rock Lake on October 9th, 2020. Mike Belter was crowned the Boater champion with 15.94 pounds. Patrick King was second with 14.48 lbs, Jeff Hager was third with 13.49 pounds, Austin Woody was fourth with 13.00 lbs, and Derek Lilley was fifth with 11.51lbs. Patrick King doubled qualified and his highest finish was at Norman allowing 5th place Derek Lilley to move up and qualify form the 5th position. On the non-boater side, Keith Thompson was crowned non-boater champion with 9.12 lbs, Lucas Oliver was second with 7.55lbs, and Zack Leech was third with 6.86.lbs These boaters and non-boaters have qualified to represent the NC BASS Nation at the 2021 BASS Regional hosted by B.A.S.S. with all hoping to continue on the road to qualify for a shot at the BASS MASTER CLASSIC?

North Carolinas Bass Nation members competed in the NCBN Eastern Regional on the Trent Neuse river on October 30th, 2020. Mike Lanier was crowned the Boater champion with 16.05 pounds. Will James was second with 15.31 lbs, and Adam Petty was third with 14.57 pounds. On the non-boater side, Rick Foss was crowned non-boater champion with 13.26 lbs, Chuck Murray was second with 13.19 lbs after a dead fish penalty, and Andy Evans was third with 10.30.lbs These boaters and non-boaters have qualified to represent the NC BASS Nation at the 2021 BASS Regional hosted by B.A.S.S. with all hoping to continue on the road to qualify for a shot at the BASS MASTER CLASSIC?

2020 has been a trying year. With COVID and the State shutting down all fishing tourneys at public ramps, most tourney trails had to postpone their events. The end of the year has been crammed with tourneys. I appreciate everyone’s patience during the 2020 season. let’s congratulate these anglers in qualifying and moving forward to advance their dreams of fishing in the Bass Master’s Classic!
